The BUST is a CD with a number of software packages which will be of
use to students of the school. The CD is sold for a price of £1
to cover the cost of production and is available from the demonstrators
or P325.
| AdAware
|
This is a tool which will scan your computer for spyware. This
is the free version and must be run by the user, it will not run
automatically. Every time I turn on my computer (i.e., every day),
I check for an updated ad-aware datafile, and scan my machine if
there is one. I also scan the machine every weekend as a matter
of habit.

Acrobat Reader to viewing PDF files.
SVGView for viewing SVG graphic files.

| Antivirus |
Full version of the McAfee Antivius scanner. Complete with
installation guide. As with the AdAware product, it is
best to have a routine for checking your system. Check for a new
datafile every day, and force a scan of your system at least once
a week.

The ARMulator ARM simulator package. Just unpack the zip file to
C:/arm200 and then create a short-cut to the
C:/arm200/bin/apm.exe file.

This is a POSIX.2 interface for windows. It also include the C and
C++ compilers ( gcc and g++ respectively).

| DoxyGen |
Source Code documentation tool. This allows programmers to embed
documentation in there source code. Doxygen will extract the
documentation and format it in a standard manner. Doxygen can
handle C, C++, and Java.

Digital Works version 3.04.39, a digital circuit design tool. This
is a student version of the package we have in the labs. Students
can develop circuit designs using this package, and bring them in
for use in our labs. Simply unpack the zip file into
C:/Program Files and create a short-cut to
"C:/Program Files/Digital Works/DigitalWorks.exe".

A package for viewing PostScript files. This comes in two parts, you
must run gs814w32.exe first to install the PostScript
processor, then run gsv4w32.exe to install the GhostGum
GhostView application.

An interpreter for the Functional Programming language Haskall.
There is also a PDF copy of a new book "Programming in
