Placements
Most of our courses offer you the chance to take a 40 week paid industrial placement during your third year with us.
This exciting opportunity gives you the chance to put the skills and knowledge that you have developed through your first two years of study into practice.
Taking a placement will enhance your career opportunities as you are able to offer future employers industry experience as well as a degree.
The placement experience will help you to build industry contacts and make an informed decision about your future career.
The School of Design, Engineering & Computing has strong industry links and our students have taken placements in a wide range of companies both in the UK and abroad, these include; IBM, Dyson, Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, Jaguar Cars Ltd and Microsoft.
You will receive assistance in finding a placement from our dedicated Placements Office, including advice on interview techniques and you will be supported throughout the placement experience.
