International students will benefit from the wide range of support available within the School and University. Study skill support is available from a dedicated member of staff, course and pastoral support are available through a network of individuals - both members of staff and other students. Study skill sessions are run to help you understand projects, assignments, dissertations and develop language skills.
From day one you will start to feel at home. For many the first week allows international students to understand a little more about the University, country and culture through the University's popular International Students Orientation Programme. There are a number of societies and clubs set up including some specially dedicated to students from other countries. The International Office runs many visits to place of historic and cultural interest as well as being able to assist you with areas of concern - from setting up a bank account to helping with visas. It is also involved with the exciting Diversity Day (click here to see the Dignity, Diversity and Equality Web Site).
Coming to University is about developing as an individual - your skills, your knowledge, your understanding of technologies and people. The School of Design, Engineering & Computing gives you that opportunity to grow.
