Set within state–of–the–art facilities and taught by prize winning academics, design and engineering at Bournemouth is both well established and industry accredited. Our comprehensive range of courses are taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Working in modern laboratories and workshops using CAD facilities and the latest rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing equipment, our graduates are well–equipped for industry success.
Accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED), our courses are continually scrutinised to ensure they reflect both the needs of industry and society. A placement year in industry for all our students means they graduate with work experience as well as a degree from a professionally recognised course.
Graduates from our design and engineering courses have achieved commercial success with their student projects, and they continue to be innovators and entrepreneurs in their careers. Our annual showcase of final year student work, The Festival of Design and Innovation, provides students with the opportunity to network with industry and publicly display their designs to a wide audience.
