ArchANGEL ReadMe file --------------------- To install ArchANGEL follow these steps: 1. Install version 1.4 or later of the Java runtime environment (JRE) or Java development kit (JDK). 2. Download the angel.jar archive. In some browsers this may require you to right click and select 'save link as' (or similar). Type the following at the command-line: java -jar angel.jar 5. The installation program should now be running. 6. Read and accept the license agreement (or cancel the installation) 7. Select the directory into which angel will be installed. It is advisable to create a new directory in which to install ANGEL (this can be done in the file chooser). 8. Press the install button 9. The angel files should now be copied into the selected directory. 10. Within the installation directory there should be a 'bin' directory. This directory contains short-cuts for starting ANGEL (a 'angel.bat' for windows users and a 'angel.sh' for UNIX users. 11. There is an example dataset in the datasets directory which you can use to become accustomed to the system. Future Releases will be made to correct the lack of help documentation.
